Padre Padrone is an Italian film carried out by Paolo Taviani and Vittorio Taviani, left in 1977, adapted novel éponyme of Gavino Ledda. The title signfie literally " the father patron".
Synopsis
In the deep Sardinia of the Years 1940, small Gavino can go to school only two months per annum; the remainder of the year, it must help his/her father to keep the animals.It grows thus in insulation, far from the human society. It is thanks to the Military service at the 21 years age that it can escape the influence from his father. He learns how to read, which is for him a revelation (he will become Linguiste), and while leaving the army, he rejects the report/ratio of quasi-slavery imposed by his father.
