Padmasambhava
Padmasambhava (of the Sanskrit, born from the lotus ) is a Buddhist Master 8th century, originating in the Cachemire or Kabul, and founder of the Himalayan Buddhism tantric. With the Bhutan and the Tibet, where the members of the school Nyingma regard it as the 2nd Bouddha, it is more known under the name of Guru Rinpoché (" invaluable maître"). Padmasambhava is not only the founder of Buddhism to the Tibet, it is also at the origin of the tradition Terma or " Treasuries spirituels" transmitted by those which discover them, the Tertön S of the school Nyingmapa. On several occasions in its lesson Padmasambhava prophesied the arrival with the Tibet Karmapa S of the school Kagyu.
According to the tradition, Padmasambhava appeared on ground incarnated in a 8 year old child in a flower of lotus (from where the name Sanskrit of Padmasambhava) floating on the Lac Dhanakosha, located the Gandhara close to the current border enters the Afghanistan and the Pakistan. In India, one knows it under the names of Padmâkara , Padmavajra , Suroruha and Vararuchi .
Statues representing Padmasambhava
The statues representing Padmasambhava contain sometimes relics and texts of the dharma in particular when they were devoted by of the LAMA.
In May 2007, the Center Tibetan for the Human rights and the Democracy (TCHRD) affirms that the Chinese armed police force demolished a colossal statue of Padmasambhava to the monastery of Samye and that the blocks of the destruction of the statue were transported in an unknown place. The statue had been built with the funds of liberally given by two impassioned Chinese of the industrialized city of the continent of Guangzhou in the province of Guangdong.
