Paddle wheel

The wheel with paddles is a wheel of particular construction, provided with blades, making it possible to create or restore a rotary movement of axis at the beginning of a linear movement of fluid. Initially simple and of very easy construction, they evolved/moved with the wire of time, with progress the hydro one and aerodynamics to become the Turbine S of today.

The first mechanical exploitations of the paddle wheel was the creation of Moulin S “with the current”. Their applications were varied, of the mill with grain until the mechanical engineering industries.

Number of the gears out of metal wooden then of the mills preceded the machine elements of machines and current vehicles.

Another extension was the Noria, combination of receptacles and blades, which makes it possible to largely irrigate the accesses of the rivers. In Syria, the large norias of Hama can measure up to 21 meters in diameter. They can be supplied with the current or an animal, human force or an engine.
