Padawan

In the saga Star Wars , Padawan is a row of apprentice Jedi.

Definition

After having followed a common formation under the direction of the Master Yoda, the beginners ( Younglings ) take the title of Padawan while becoming raises of a knight or a Jedi Master. It is only after one long period several years that the padawan is authorized by the Conseil Jedi to pass the tests of knighthood at the end which it will reach itself the row of Chevalier Jedi. A rule of the Code Jedi stipulates that a Master can have one padawan at the same time under his responsibility, and this so that it ensures his Jedi formation as well as possible.

Etymological origin

Étymologiquement in Sanskrit, pada - wan means step in the forest .
