Pact of Zurich

The Pacte of Zurich is an alliance between several Swiss cantons promulgated in 1351 following an initiative of Rodolphe Brun, burgomaster with life of Zurich. The treaty, which bound Uri, Schwytz, Unterwald, Lucerne with Zurich, made it possible to fight against the Habsbourg, to make pressure on the nobility inhabitant of Zurich and to make sure of better economic and commercial relationship between Confédérés.
