Paco de Lucía
Paco de Lucía (born Francisco Sánchez Gómez ) is a Guitariste Spanish born the December 21st 1947 with Algésiras (Province of Cadiz, Spain). He is considered by much, in particular by the players of Flamenco, as being one of the best guitarists in the world. He in particular brought important innovations to the guitar flamenca.
Its home environment was favorable to its musical work, first of all by his/her father himself guitarist who gives him his first lessons at the 5 years age, then his brothers, Ramón de Algeciras recognized as guitarist of talent and Pepe de Lucía which very early carried out a career of singer of Flamenco.
With Sherry, it takes part in a contest of flamenco at the 12 years age and gains the special price. At the fourteen years age it is engaged as guitarist for the company of dance Jose Greco and begins her first round in the United States. In New York it meets Mario Escudero and Sabicas, two guitarists Spanish of famous who encourage it to carry out a career of soloist.
After the recording in solo of its first disc in 1965 and one concert with the Teatro Real of Madrid its talent is recognized unanimously. The innovation of its compositions in the medium of the traditional flamenco associated with a great instrumental technique opens other musical horizons to him.
Paco de Lucía adapts and records several topics of the Spanish type-setter Manuel of Falla, and a few years later it records the major work of Joaquín Rodrigo, the Concerto of Aranjuez.

In autumn 2004 Paco de Lucía receives with Oviedo (Asturies - Spain) the Prix Prince of Asturies of Arts sponsored by Felipe de Bourbon, heir to the throne of Spain.
“Regarded as most universal of the artists flamenco, his style made school among more the young generations and its art became one of the best ambassadors of the Spanish culture throughout the world”, estimated the jury.
“All that can be expressed with the six cords of a guitar can leave with its hands, which become animated with moving the depth by the sensitivity”, the jury added.
To note, that it composed the music of the film The Hit of Stephen Frears in 1984.
