Pachanga
The pachanga is a Musical genre, mixture of Merengue and of Conga (Merenconga) invented by Eduardo Davidson with Santiago of Cuba at the beginning of the Years 1960, which succeeded the mode of the Cha-cha-cha, before being replaced itself by the fashion of the Boogaloo.
It is made popular with New York by the Dominican flutist Johnny Pacheco (some then thought that it name came from Pacheco + Charanga = pachanga).
When Eduardo Davidson left Cuba for New York, this rate/rhythm was interdict in Cuba.
The song Pachanga was sung in French by Dario Moreno.
