Pachacamac
Pachacamac is the creative god of the people established along the coasts of the Peru, wire of the sun and the moon.
An older god, Kon, had created the first men, but Pachacamac reversed it and transformed these men into monkeys. It created then a new couple, but no food granted to him. The man died about it, the woman put at the world a child who learned how to him to nourish wild plants. Pachacamac was courroucé and killed the child by it. The Corn and all the plants which are cultivated were born from the body of the child whom it had killed.
Pachacamac was confused thereafter with the supreme god of the Incas Viracocha.
The archeological site of Pachacamac, located at 31 km in the south of Lima, present of the ruins going of civilization Lima (200-600 after Jesus-Christ) at Incas (1450-1530), in particular a Temple of the Sun and Acclawasi. The site was explored in particular by max Uhle and Julio Tello.
