Pablo De Azcárate
Pablo de Azcárate Flórez (Madrid, 1890 - Geneva, 1971) was there a lawyer, politician and Spanish diplomat.
Raise school progressist Institución Libre of Enseñanza , it makes studies of Right and becomes professor. It belongs to the generation of Spanish intellectuals known as Génération of 14 . Profiting from purses of the Junta de Ampliación de Estudios , it makes several stays in Great Britain, France and Germany, from where it returns polyglot. Appointed elected official of León in 1918 for the Party Reformist, it will become diplomat and work with SDN with Geneva (section of the minorities, of which he becomes director in 1930).
En 1933, it is named n° 2 of the SDN, then in 1936 the new Spanish republican government appoints it ambassador in London. the fall of the Republic the constrained one with the exile in 1939.
After the Second world war, it will work with the UNO which will send it in Palestine to try to regulate the Israeli-Arab Conflit (1949-1952). Its impotence will oblige it to resign.
He will die in Geneva in 1971, after having written several works on his diplomatic experiment.
