PC-engine WP
The PC-Engine WP (called TurboExpress with the the United States and also known under the name Turbo WP) is a Portable console manufactured by NEC in 1991.
It is actually about a portable PC-Engine equipped with a screen LCD color with Matrice activates of 6,6 centimetres (2,6 inches), able to play all the games of the PC-Engine.
It remained a long time most powerful of the portable consoles, far in front of the Lynx and Game Boy, and even the Game GEAR, handicapped by its less powerful screen in Matrice passivates.
An image or plug-in add one for the console was also sold which made it possible to look at television, come from a video camera (via a video entry). The consumption of batteries was very important. A set of 6 R6 piles did not exceed three hours of use. To compensate for this handicap, the console dies out automatically if it remains unutilised during a certain time and TTI marketed even many kits of rechargeable batteries.
The PC-Engine WP did not have success, crushed by that of the Game Boy, console much simpler, but much less expensive at that time.
