Přemysl Sobotka

Přemysl Sobotka is a Czech politician. He is born on May 18th, 1944 with Mladá Boleslav, but with grown with Liberec where its family settled after the expulsion of the German of Sudètes. Graduate in medicine of the University Charles of Prague, Přemysl Sobotka in particular directed the department of radiology of the hospital of Liberec.

Member of the civic Forum after the Revolution of velvet, Sobotka adheres to the civic democratic party (right liberal) in 1991 and directs the organization of the party in Liberec. He is elected with the Sénat of the Czech Republic in 1996, before being re-elected in 1998 and 2004. December 15th, 2004, he is elected President of the Senate, which makes the second character of the State of it after the President of the Republic.
