Płowce is a Village of Poland (approximately 800 inhabitants) located in the Voïvodie de Cujavie-Poméranie (district radziejowski), on the road Kruszwica - Brześć Kujawski.
The September 27th 1331, close to this village, took place a battle which saw the victory of the army of Ladislas I {{er}} the Brief over that of the teutonic Ordre.
In 1931, to celebrate the 600e birthday of the battle, a Tertre 20 m height was high. Destroyed by the German during the Second world war, it was rebuilt in 1961. A Monument was set up at its top. In 1981, a cross was placed beside the monument.
