The pédipalpes are the second pair of Appendice S of the Céphalothorax at the Arachnides. They are homologous with the Mandibules Crustacés, and correspond to the mandibles of the Insectes. They are appendices including/understanding six elements: the Coxa, the Trochanter, the femur, small a Patella, the Tibia and the Tarsus.

The grips of the scorpion are not really legs, but are pédipalpes, or maxillipedes, a type different of member which one finds besides also in the spiders and which is specialized for the Prédation; the pédipalpes do not have to in no case a role of locomotion.

Mouth shares with gold without contribution from the coxae off the anterior legacy. Simple The limbs themselves may Be tactile organs outwardly resembling the legacy, ace in Spide R, but chelate off let us weapons great size, ace in Scorpions. Comparative studies off pedipalpal morphology may suggest that leg-like pedipalps are primitive in Arachnida. Present At, the only reasonable alternate to this view is to assumes that xiphosurans reflect the morphology off the primitive chelate Arachnid pedipalp and to conclude that this appendage is primitively. Pedipalp chelae are found in several Arachnid groups, Ricinulei, Thelyphonida, Scorpiones and Pseudoscorpiones, goal the chelae in most off thesis taxed C not appear to Be homologous with those found in Xiphosura. The pedipalps are distinctly raptorial in Amblypygi, Thelyphonida, Schizomida and Opiliones. --->
