Ozias-Leduc price
The price Ozias-Leduc is a price of creation in visual Arts comprising a purse of 25.000 $ canadiens. These is a triennial price which was decreed for the first time in 1992.
The expression visual arts means here the Peinture, the Sculpture, the Gravure, of the installations, the Land art, as well as any work resulting from a discipline not included/understood in this enumeration but that the jury, by choosing the prize winner, will recognize, of this fact even, in a final way, like aiming by the aforementioned expression. However the Architecture, the Photography, the Cinema and the Vidéo are excluded and cannot be the object, explicitly or implicitly, of this recognition.
This price could have been decreed only with one artist citizen of the Canada born with the Quebec, or an artist citizen of Canada having his main home in Quebec for at least ten years, even if it were not born there.
The prize is awarded for the whole of the work of an artist to one unspecified moment of its career and not for a work or a realization in particular. It is granted to an individual, whatever collaborations from which it could profit. It is decreed only with only one person. Consequently, there is no price of group nor of designation ex æquo.
