Oxford English Dictionary

The Oxford English Dictionary is the dictionary published by the Oxford University Close . He is recognized like the regent of the evolution of the English language. He contains a half-million words with their significances, their history and their pronunciation. He contains the words of the English world of the North America to the South Africa, while passing by the Australia, the New Zealand and the the Caribbean.

The second printed edition includes/understands twenty volumes and is also available on CD-ROM or Internet. The last edition (December 2006) was published on December 14th, 2006.

Oxford University Close also publishes a shortened version of this dictionary in two volumes, and many dictionaries for the foreign students. Like the Oxford Advanced Learner' S Dictionary or in collaboration with Hatchet, various French-English, English-French dictionaries.
