Over the wall (film, 1961)

Over the wall is a film French carried out by Jean-Paul Chanois and left in 1961.

Synopsis

Simone and Jean have just married and, in the search of a housing in Paris region, are likely to find a house with garden in a residential district of suburbs. The young couple awaits its first child and in particular will start to observe how the parents of the close families raise theirs. Witness of the running away of a teenager of a disturbed family, Simone will make his training of future mother while learning how to dialog with this kid delivered to itself. The couple will thus make profitable the observance of the teaching errors made by the parents in order to avoid them in the education of their next offspring.

Around film

This film of Chanois belongs to the category of its committed films dealing with the societies' problems. It is the fictionalized form which makes following documentary that it had devoted to the study of the lie in the child. Chanois met teachers and professor Meyer to examine what could be made cinématographiquement.
Pour this realization, Chanois and the majority of the actors was not paid. The realizer hoped to earn money with a sparing film turned good, assembled well and profiting from the presence of Silvia Monfort and good actors. Unfortunately its commercial exploitation was ultra-reduced and the film did not obtain discounted success
