Oust-louga

Oust-Louga (, ( Mouth of Louga ) is a village and a railway station located in the District of Kingiseppsky of the Oblast of Leningrad in Russia. The village is located on the river Louga close to the bay entry of Louga in the Golfe of Finland at 110 km at the west of Saint-Petersbourg. Its population is into 2007 of 2000 inhabitants.

Oust-Louga must become an important port for coal and manures with a capacity envisaged of 35 million tons per annum. Its construction started in 1997 with for objective avoiding having to make forward the traffic by the ports of the Baltic states. Work was accelerated by Vladimir Poutine which inaugurated it in 2001. The long channel of 3700 meters approach makes it possible to receive ships of more than 150.000 tons.
