Ousmane Ngom

Ousmane Ngom (born in 1955) is a politician Senegal board, currently Minister of Interior Department.

Biography

Ousmane Alioune Ngom was born on May 18th, 1955 with Saint-Louis. Lawyer of formation, it is married and father of four children.

Whereas it was in the opposition, it was during four years, one of the leaders of the Senegalese Democratic party (PDS), in second position after Abdoulaye Wade.

When the PDS arrived at the capacity, he was Professional training and Minister for Labor of April 1991 at October 1992, then Ministre for the Health and the Social action of March 1995 at March 1998.

June 11th 1998 it resigned of the PDS and created its own movement, the Senegalese Liberal party (PLS). In 2000 Abdoulaye Wade reached the presidency and in 2003 the PLS amalgamated with the PDS.

Ousmane Ngom was named Ministre the Commercial in July 2004, then Minister of Interior Department in November 2004. For this reason, it is him which, on December 30th of the same year, signed the Cessez-le-feu with the abbot putting Diamacoune Senghor fine (?) with the Conflict in Casamance.
