History of the group

Ousanousava is a group of local music of the island of the Réunion. A association is initially created in 1984 with Saint-Louis with for goal to promote the Réunionnaise music which is then in full change. Its first album will remain mythical with the Réunion and is still today one of the record of sale of the island. Enchanting melodies and shouting words of emotions like " Large-mère" or " Zamal " envoutent the public.

Primarily singing the Maloya and the Séga, the children of family JORON proved more once they were able to follow the cultural and musical evolution and make from now on integral part of the musical inheritance of the island. They also do not hesitate to sing successes of their father Jules JORON who had initiated itself the Meeting with the recognition of the popular music.

But in the middle of the years 1990 the group is done increasingly discrete and it is learned whereas the singer-leader, Frederic Joron, left the group. But in 1999 the group returns with their album " My péi in tablo" who does not fail to be made hear and proves once again that public is quite faithful to the group.
