Ourique (pronunciation) is a city and a municipality of the Portugal belonging to the District of Beja having a surface of 663.4 km ² having a population of 5.842 inhabitants.

The current mayor is Pedro Prazeres Carmo (PSP).

The locality is famous because of the Bataille of Ourique in 1139.

The communes of the council of Ourique are Conceição, Garvão, Ourique, Panóias, Santa Luzia and Santana da Serra.
