Ounasjoki

The Ounasjoki is the principal affluent (Right Bank) of the Kemijoki, which it joined with Rovaniemi. Born in north from the Polar circle, on the commune of Enontekiö (more precisely with the lake Ounasjärvi), the river follows an overall North-South axis to its confluence. Its basin accounts for 27% of that of the Kemijoki.
