Oumm Al Qaïwaïn
Oumm Al Qaïwaïn (in Arab أمالقيوين , Umm Al-Qaywayn ) is at the same time a city and a emirate of the United Arab Emirates.
The name of the emirate can spell different manières : Oumm Al Qaïwaïn , Umm Al-Qaiwain , Umm Al-Qawain , Umm Al-Qaywayn , Umm el-Qiwain and Umm Al-Quwain .
History
In 1775, Al Driven `went from the clan of Al `Ali are established with the current site of the town of Oumm Al Qaïwaïn. The January 8th 1820, the emirate signs the general maritime Treaty (General Maritime Treaty) with the the United Kingdom which drives out the Othoman influence and founds a British Protectorat.The December 2nd 1971, the emirate takes part in the creation of the United Arab Emirates.

Geography
The emirate of Oumm Al Qaïwaïn is located at the North of the United Arab Emirates, on the coast of the Persian Gulf. Its territory is of only one holding because not comprising neither Enclave, nor Exclave. It has borders with the emirates of Ras el Khaïmah and Charjah.

The current emir is Rashid bin Ahmad Al Mu' went since 1981. As in the other emirates, the Right and the Loi S are based on the Charia.

Economy
Contrary to the other emirates, Oumm Al Qaïwaïn does not draw its incomes from the Pétrole and the Natural gas but from the fishing and the culture of the Datte S.
