Oudmourtie

The republic of Oudmourtie (in Russian: Удму́ртскаяреспу́блика ; in Oudmourte : УдмуртЭлькун) is a federal prone of the Fédération of Russia.

History

Before the November 4th 1920 when autonomous Oblast of Votsk was created, the territory of Oudmourtie current was divided between the gouvernats Kazan and Vyatka. January 1st 1932, autonomous Oblast of Votsk was famous autonomous Oblast oudmourte, then reorganized in a Soviet socialist republic oudmourte the December 28th 1934. The Oudmourte Republic in its current form exists since the September 20th 1990.

Culture

In Oudmourtie, one counts eight professional theaters and a philharmonic company. One finds also ten museums of State and many public museums presenting the history and the culture of Oumourtie and of his people, like the historical and cultural Museum of Sarapoul, or the Museum Tchaïkovsky with Votkinks. One of oldest the museum of weapons is located has Ijevsk.
