Ottorino Respighi

Ottorino Respighi , born with Bologna the July 9th 1879 and died in Rome the April 18th 1936, is a Compositeur Italy N.

Biography

The father of Respighi, which was professor of Piano, taught the Violon and the piano to him. Ottorino continued its studies of violin with Federico Sarti with the College of Music of Bologna, and composition with Giuseppe Martucci and Luigi Torchi.

Then, Respighi briefly studied the composition with Rimski-Korsakov in Russia, which largely influenced its work. It also took some lessons of composition with max Bruch. One can also note in the Fountains of Rome for example a double influence of Richard Strauss and Claude Debussy.
