Otto Hoffmann

Otto Hoffmann (March 16th 1896 - December 31st 1982) was a S - Austrian Gruppenführer and a leader Nazi of the " office for the race and the peuplement" ( Shaves und Siedlungshauptamt or RuSHA). It was present at the Conférence of Wannsee which planned the Holocauste against the Juifs.

Hoffman was born with Innsbruck, in the the Tyrol Autrichien. He was fighter pilot during the First World War. Wine salesman of formation, he became member of the S in 1931. From 1940 to 1943 it directed the office for the race and the settlement, an organization of the S. For this reason it taken share with the conference of Wannsee the January 20th 1942. In 1943 it took the post of head of the S and the police force for the south-west of the Germany, with Stuttgart.

In 1948 at the time of the Lawsuit of RuSHA in Nuremberg, Hoffmann was condemned to 25 years of prison for war crimes, but was pardoned in 1954. He died in Germany, with Bad Mergentheim.

In American film Conspiracy of 2001, the character of Hoffmann is played by Nicholas Woodeson.
