Other that thorough-bred

A.Q.P.S. ( Other than Thorough-bred - under heard English Thorough-bred) is a classification used for the racehorses.

It is not a race of horses but a particular classification intended for the horses resulting from crossings and which, not meeting the definite strict standards for each race, cannot appear in a Liste of the equine races allowed to take part in a given horse competition.
For example in the event of crossing:

  • Anglo-Arab (AA) and French Saddle (S.F), but with less than 12,5% of Arab blood;
  • English
  • French Saddle and Thorough-bred.

Certain compétions theirs are reserved. These horses, less swift than the English thorough-bred Anglo-Arabs or thorough-bred, are very enduring and take part in the horse-races, especially in obstacle (hedge, steeplechase), where they shine among the elite of the thorough-bred.

This classification is not retained for the contests of Saut of obstacles.
