Ostalgie
LOstalgie ( die Ostalgie in German, since the words Ost (Is) and Nostalgie ) indicates the glances behind on elements of the life of the every day in old the German Democratic republic (GDR).
The concept is used for itself without positive or negative connotation. Some “ Ostalgiker ” feels however the feeling to be scorned, if their opinion is thus qualified. L Ostalgie comes inter alia loss from identity from the former nationals from GDR after the reunification from both German States in 1990.

As the system of GDR was a dictatorship which neglected some Human rights, especially those of the opponents, the people who claim an objective point of view without a false glorification are increasingly numerous.
