Ostabarret
Oztibarre /os ̪tibare/, become Gascon Ostabarret in , is a country of the Basque province of Low-Navarre corresponding to the higher course of the Bidouze, in the south of Uhart-Mixes.
Its name ( H ) oztibarre comes from Hozta Ibar Re (or ibar ) meaning “valley of Hosta”. This formation becomes Osta beats in Gascon, from where the name of the village of Ostabat.
It includes/understands the communes of Arhansus, Bunus, Hosta, Ibarrolle, Juxue, Larceveau-Arros-Cibits, Ostabat-Asme, Pagolle and Saint-Just-Ibarre.
The country of Ostabarret belonged to the Royaume of Navarre.
