The toponym Ossenx appears in the forms Osentz (XIIIe century, Fors de Béarn), Ossenxs (1385, censier of Béarn), Lo borguet of Ossencx (1400, notaries of Navarrenx) and Osenxs (1546, reformation of Béarn).
History
Paul Raymond note that in 1385, Ossenx counted 9 fires and depended on the Bailliage of Navarrenx.
