Osorno

Osorno is a city of the Chile located at thousand kilometers in the south of Santiago of Chile, at 260 kilometers of Bariloche in Argentine and at 110 kilometers of Puerto Montt the capital da the area. Located in the Región of los Lagos, it is a capital of province cash 15.000 inhabitants in 2002.
History
The city was founded in 1553 by Pedro de Valdivia, and abandoned with its death. Rebuilt in 1557 by the governor of the area, it is again destroyed in 1602 by the Amerindians. Rebuilt in 1797 by the family of Bernardo O' Higgins. At the 19th century, German colonists arrive. The latter contribute to repopulate the city.
Climate
Climate of the oceanic type with a light Mediterranean influence in summer. 5°C of average in July (winter) and 14°C in January (be).
