Osijek (Hungarian: Eszék ) is a town of Croatia, capital of the Slavonie.

It was founded in Ier century of the Roman Empire, under the name of Mursa.

The city counted approximately 130.000 inhabitants before the war of Yugoslavia but the population is reduced today to 110.000 inhabitants. The city extends on Right Bank from the Drave. It is located at 30 km of the border with the Hungary and at 20 of that with the Serbia.
