Oscar of the best effects of engineering
The Oscar of the best effects of engineering was a reward decreed by AMPAS. It was given only once, in 1927 - 1928 at the time of the first ceremony of the Oscars. However, several categories which appeared thereafter rewarded the many hidden efforts necessary to the realization for a film. It is the case for example of the Oscar for the best sound and of the technical Oscar or scientist which appeared three years later.
