Oryzomys is the kind of rodents generally indicated like mice of rice layer, by the damage which produces in the fields of rice.

Its life are developed in close relationship with water and the bath and they submerge with the service. They live in wetlands and marshy. They build its nests of the vegetable material and on the vegetation, with the maximum level of water. The females repeated some 25 days gestations, after which they stop three or four young people.
