This kind includes/understands three species:

• Oryx dammah (Cretzschmar, 1827) - Oryx algazelle or Oryx of Libya.

• Oryx gazella (Linnaeus, 1758) - Oryx gazelle or Gemsbok.
• Oryx gazella beisa - Oryx of East Africa (certain classifications make a species with whole share of it).
• Oryx leucoryx (Pallas, 1777) - Oryx of Arabia or white Oryx.
