Orthrelm is a group of experimental metal American of Washington, D.C.

History

Orthrelm is a duet made up of Mick Barr with the Guitare and of Josh Blair with the battery, which tries out several styles of composition and musical concepts not-conventional.

The group left some notable and important CD' S since their beginnings, within projects like Crom-Tech or the solo project of Mike Barr Octis. For example, their CD of 2002, Asristir Vieldriox last 13 minutes with a total of 99 tracks, all having on average a duration among 5 and 15 seconds. Since this first album, Orthrelm remained an artefact of the Avant-garde and is regarded as an good example of the modern composition. In contrast, their album OV contains only one 45 minute old track length based on a repetition extrèmement intense. This album combines the speed of the Grindcore and the repetition of the branch minimalist of Terry Riley.
