Orthotropic source of light

A orthotropic source of light is a source of light whose Luminance is the same one in all the directions.

One can quote like example, the Sun.

The black bodies are theoretically orthotropic sources of light.

Whatever its form, a perfectly orthotropic source of light appears plane. The sun, for example, seems to be a disc in the sky whereas it is actually spherical.
