Ornolac-Ussat-the-Baths is a common French, located in the department of the Ariège and the area the Midday-Pyrenees. Its inhabitants is called the Ornolacois .

Geography

Ornolac Ussat-the-Baths is a thermal village located at the end Is Département of Ariège close to Tarascon-on-Ariège at the edge of the river Ariège.

History

As of 1771, the place is recognized for its beneficial sources of water. But it is the baron d' Ornolac Louis de Fraxine which develops the thermal activity with Ussat-the-Baths. Great personalities will visit Ussat to make cures: the king of Holland, Louis Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon 1st and the poet Lamartine.

In 1845, Ussat-the-Baths knows a great multitude and the Grandes Thermal baths now classified become a very attended place. The thermal baths are the properties of the Old people's homes of Pamiers until in 1982. Ajourd' today, of the private owners try to make revive the thermal activity.
