Ormalingen
Ormalingen is a common Suisse of the canton of Basle-Countryside, located in the District of Sissach.
History
Located in the plain of the Ergolz, the area of Ormalingen is colonized since many centuries. One finds there for example a villa Roman as well as tombs of bottom Moyen-Âge. Quoted for the first time in 1286 under the name of " Normandingen " the small town loses during time its NR to be made call " Ormandingen ". During the Middle Ages, the village is successively under the domination of the families of Grafen von Homberg, Frohburg, Homburg then finally Thierstein.
Monuments
On the site of the commune draws up the ruins of the castle-extremely of Farnsburg. The village also shelters a church with stained glasses dating from the 14th century.
