The Orkhon is a river of Mongolia whose valley is registered with the World heritage UNESCO.

Geography

Of a 1124 km length, the river joined the Selenga, tributary of the Lac Baïkal.

Cultural center of the valley of Orkhon

An area of approximately 1220 km ² was delimited by UNESCO for its historical past. It includes the site of Karakorum, cradle of Gengis Khan.
