Orhon (province)

The Aymag of Orhon (Mongolian: ОрхонАймаг ), also spelled " Orkhon" , is one of the 21 provinces ( aymag ) of Mongolia. It is located at the north of the country. Its capital is Erdenet.

In 1994, the province was made up by joining together the town of Erdenet, up to that point under federal administration, and a territory separated for this purpose from the province from Bulgan.

Districts

The aymag of Orhon is divided into two districts ( somon in Mongolian):
  • Bayan-Öndör
  • Jargalant
