Organotropism

the Organotropisme indicates the process by which some Molécule S, which can be Contaminant S, Toxique S, Radionucléide S or simple Oligo-élément S (as the Iode towards the thyroid ) are directed and possibly durably stored by certain bodies, in a preferential way, even quasi-exclusive.
Ceci is done within the framework of the normal functioning of bodies, within the framework of a therapy, or within the organization in the event of exceptional processes of detoxication (in the event of poisoning), with in the last both cases of possible after-effects for the body or the organization.
Certains bodies of the animals with cold blood or heat is strongly implied in the detoxication and/or the Bioconcentration of varied contaminants. They are the Foie, the Rein and various bodies of which the brain and the bone (which fixes for example 80% of the lead introduced and passed in blood, for several decades).

Interest

The comprehension of these mechanism has a great importance in Médecine and ecology, in particular to include or limit the impacts of very remanent toxic molecules (Organochloré S, Organophosphoré S…) or not biodegradable or very slowly dégradables (Heavy metals, Radionuclide S for example.).

The organotropism is also used to look after. As example, a toxic molecule (radioactive cesium with medical use) which does not bind durably that thyroid allows to destroy this body when it is touched by a cancer. Part of chemotherapy rests on this principle.

The organotropism explains why certain pollutants have serious effects, whereas they are present in the environment only at very low dose; they are strongly bioconcentrés in time by a particular body (Thyroïde, Glande, Gonade, etc…) and end up exceeding their threshold of toxicity.

This also explains why certain animals are contaminated more and more by certain poisons with the age, and why the trophic network can bioconcentrer certain pollutants hardly detectable in the environment.
Ceci also explains why certain saltings out of poisons can be done at the time of physiological changes (ex at the woman: relarguage of Lead starting from the bones, after the Menopause, during the process of Osteoporosis (One of the forms discrete and differed from the Lead poisoning)
