Organization of the treaty of Amazonian co-operation
The Organization of the treaty of Amazonian co-operation ( Organição C Tratado de Cooperação Amazônica or OTCA) is an organization gathering eight American States having jointly the Amazon forest.
The eight Member States are: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Surinam and Venezuela.
The treaty of Amazonian co-operation is signed between these eight States on July 3rd, 1978, with an aim of preserving the Amazon forest and of managing its richnesses in a rational way. The OTCA is created in 1995 to apply the objectives of the treaty.
