Organization of the cultural heritage of Iran
The Organization of the Cultural Heritage of Iran (سازمانمیراثفرهنگی) is an institution of research and teaching managing the many associated museums in Iran. It is managed and financed by the Gouvernement of Iran.
It was created in 1985 by a law of the Majles amalgamating 11 cultural organizations and of research.
It publishes and approves the publication of many books and newspapers, and carry out projects in collaboration with academies and museums foreign. It is simulaire in its activities and its range with the Smithsonian Institution.
ICHO has also an news agency, the news agency of the cultural heritage.
