Orest Ranum

Orest Allen Ranum is an American historian born in 1933.

Professor with the University Johns-Hopkins of Baltimore, Orest Ranum devoted his research to the 17th French century. He studied in particular the ministerial personnel under Richelieu and worked on the Fronde.

He was professor with the Collège de France (international pulpit) in 1994-1995.
