Oregon State Beavers is a club general sports university of the Oregon State University with Corvallis (Oregon). The teams of Beavers take part in the university competitions organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Oregon State belongs to division Pacific Ten Conference.
The mascot Benny Beaver made its appearance in 1952.
The most famous team of Beavers is that of American football which was created in 1893. Terry Baker was honoured by a Heisman Trophy in 1962. The large rivals of Bevers are Oregon Ducks. These two formations clash each year during a called part “Civil War”.
The Lutte is also a strong point of Beavers with 44 championships of conference and seven fighters selected with the Olympic Games.
The team of Basket-ball took part twice in the Final Furnace.
