In the center of the cross, the monogram in gold letters of prince Victor-Emmanuel of Savoy (VE) is included in a round enamel blue-sky medallion. The ribbon is tiercé of a white band between two blue bands. The medals of officer, commander and large-officer are surmounted by a royal crown. That of Grand Cross comprises in more four small royal crowns placed between the branches of the cross. The large-officers and the Grand Crosses carry a plate on their dress.
The dress of church of the knights about the Merit of Savoy is a long blue coat sky, without handle. Its collar and is embroidered of one gallon in gold wire. On the heart, the cross of the Order is bent. A blue and white braided cord, fixed in the back passes over the shoulders and runs in front of the coat; it ends in two houppelandes same colors. This coat is identical for the knights of the Civil Order of Savoy. The Roman dressmakers name besides it commonly " Civil Savoia". The knights can wear white gloves.
