The orchis hyacinth (Bletilla striata) is a terrestrial herbaceous plant of the family of the Orchidacée S.

One meets it in a natural state with the Japan, in China and with the Tibet.

With the garden, one can almost regard it as a plant of outside under the climate of the France, but it is all the same recommended to very protect it from the great colds. In fact it is about the one of the rare terrestrial orchises easy to transplant in very varied grounds. Indeed, contrary to the majority of the other species, it does not seem to live in symbiosis with mushrooms.

It is advised to place the pseudobulbs out of pot (flower stand) by spacing them well at least 20cm. To fill the flower stand with compost, to hardly cover the bulbs with very little ground and to keep fresh but not softened.
