Orbital solar power station
An orbital Solar power station , or CSO , would be an Artificial satellite builds in high Orbite which would use a Transmission of energy by microwaves or Laser to send solar energy to a very large antenna on Ground where it could be used in the place of conventional energy sources.
The advantage of placing the solar power station in orbit is a sight constant of the Sun and thus nonaffected by the cycle day-night, the weather or the seasons. However the cost of construction are very high and the CSO will not be able to compete with the current energy sources unless a means of reducing the cost of launchings is discovered, or that a space industry developed and can build these power stations starting from materials taken on another planets or asteroids with low gravity.
