Orazio Gentileschi

Orazio Lomi Gentileschi (1563 with Pisa - 1639 with London) is a painter Italian baroque, influenced by Caravage.

He is the father of the painter Artemisia Gentileschi.

In 1626, it leaves France to put at the service Charles I {{er}} of England. It remains in England all the remainder of its life.

Its style becomes increasingly conventional, but its works are appreciated for their classicism by the English aristocracy.

Van Dyck included it in its series of famous portraits of one hundred men.
