Orange county (New York)

The county of Orange is located at the the United States in the south of the State of New York. It forms part of the area Grand New York. According to the census of 2000, its population is of: 341367. It is named in the honor of Guillaume III of England, which was also the Prince d' Orange.

Adjacent counties

The Orange county has borders with the counties of Dutchess, of Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester in the New York; counties of Passaic and Sussex in the New Jersey; and the county of Pike in Pennsylvania.
